chEri yaSOdaku - mOhana

Annamaiah praises Yasoda's child Krishna in this song, saying that even the most depressed persons become happy by his influence. He adds that those who surrender to him would be liberated.

This boy is Yasoda's child. He is the father of Brahma.

He is the embodiment of good qualities and the whole universe is shown in his mouth. He is the ocean of compassion and is praised by the Vedas.

In this song Annamaiah describes his exciting experience in seeing Venkatesa in all his splendor.

I see clearly. Those lamps in front of God are like stars. Those eyes are eternal. They are like the sun and the moon.

janTala velugu Sankha chakrAlave||
I see him, it is He only. I see precious pearls, garlands, and pendants. I see tall crown and the shining Sankha and Chakra (conch and discus).

bangAru niggula vanne pachcha baTTade
ingita merigi vEnkaTESuDe kannulaku
mungiTa nidhAna maina moola bhoota madE ||
There I see bracelets on his hands and a dagger on his belt. That is the gold colored garment. He is the treasure in front of you. He is the primordial. Know that he is Sree Venkatesa.

pukkiTa lOkamulave bhujakeertulununave
chakkanamma alamElu javarAlu nade ||
He is there in front of you. Prostrate again and again. Look at his cheeks and lustrous smiling face. You can find all the "lokas" in his mouth. His gold armlets are shining. Look at beautiful Alamelumanga with Lord Venkatesa.
