sakala sAnti - bahudAri

Annamaiah, in this song, says that devotion to Lord Venkatesa only bestows peace of mind, washes away all sins, and dispels all evil thoughts.

Oh lord of the universe, devotion to you bestows abundant peace of mind. We are blessed with devotion to you. That only sustains us.

All the evil thoughts rising in mind vanish the moment we think of you. Even the endless sins vanish if we see the great lord.

Sins committed by body are washed away by the stamping of your symbols sankha (conch) and chakra (discus). Even the ghastly sins are dispelled away by surrendering to the Lord Venkatesa.
