Oh pavanAtmaja - Sree

In this song Annamaiah extoles the greatness of Hanumanta who carried the Sanjeevani mountain and who approached the effulgent Sun. He also carried Rama and Lakshmana on his shoulders.

Oh Hanuman, you have shown your prowess by carrying the Sanjeevani mountain. your bravery is exemplary.

mAru lEka mati malasitigA
dAruNapu vinata tanayAdulu
gAravimpa niTu kaligitigA ||
You dared to catch the Sun even as a child. You are the destroyer of many demons and your wisdom is unique.The mighty Garuda, the son of Vinata respects you humbly.

ee dEhamutO ninnu lOkamulu
nee dEha mekka nilachitigA ||
Oh Hanuman, you are the destroyer of the ten headed Ravana. You are the most humble devotee of the Lord's lotus feet. Your mighty body withstood when you carried Rama and Lakshmana on your shoulders.
