P eduTa nunnaDu veeDe ee bAluDu madi teliya mamma yEmarulO gAni || This boy, who is in front of you, is beyond our comprehension. Why are we so ignorant?
C 1 parama purushuDaTa paSula gAchenaTa saravu lenchina vina sangatA idi hari ye tAnaTa muddu landariki chEse naTa iravAya suddu lETivO gAni || He was a cowherd but he is said to be great. Can you believe that He is Hari that is loved by all? How did he preach so well?
C 2 vEdAla koDaya DaTa vennalu dongile naTa nAdAnni vinnavAriki nammikA idi Adi moola mitaDaTa aDikela chAtalaTa kAdamma ee sudduleTTi katalO kAni || He is the master of Vedas. He is the butter thief. Can listeners of his songs believe this? He is said to be primordial. He is blamed for his mischievous deeds. How can we know his preachings?
C 3 ala brahma tanDri yaTa, yaSOdaku biDDa yaTa kola dokariki cheppa koodunA ide telipi sree venkaTAdri dEvuDai niliche naTa kaladamma mana kentO karuNO gAni || He is Brahma's father. He is Yasoda's dear child. Is it possible to believe all this? He has become the god of Venkatadri. He is very merciful.

P ennaDu vijnAna mika nAku vinnapa mide Sri VenkaTa nAdhA|| O lord Venkatesa, I earnestly request you to let me know when would wisdom dawn on me.
C 1 pAsina pAyavu bandhamulu Asa dEhamunnannAllu kOsina tolagavu korikalu gAlisi chittamu kaliginannAllu || As long as the body exists, we do not get rid off attachments. As long as the conscience is not pure, desires do not disappear.
C 2 kochchina gorayavu kOpamulu gachchula guNamulu galanAllu tachchina tolagavu tahatahalu rachchala vishayapu ratulannALLu || As long as one is dubious irritations cannot be avoided. As long as fascination exists, one will not be rid off anxieties.
C 3 vokaTi kokaTikini voDabaDavu akaTa Sri VenkaTAdhipuDa sakalamu neevE SaraNanTE ika vikaTamu laNagenu vEDuka nAllu || Confusion and contradiction always exist. All the unhappiness vanishes the moment I surrender myself at your holy feet.

P evvarevvari vADO ee jeevuDu evariki nEmounO ee jeevuDu|| Who is this living being? Who does he belong to? How is this living being related to others?
C 1 endariki koDuku gADee jeevuDu venaka endariki tObuTTaDee jeevuDu endarini bhramaincha Dee jeevuDu dukkha mendariki kAvimpa Dee JeevuDu || Was not this living being the offspring of many others in his previous lives? Was he not the sibbling of many? How many people did he fascinate? Did he not cause sorrow to many others?
C 2 ekkaDekkaDa tirugaDeeJeevuDu venaka ekkaDo tana Janma mee JeevuDu ekkaDi chuTTamu ee JeevuDu eppu DekkaDi kEgunO ee JeevuDu || How many places did a living being move during his previous births? What is this relation ship? How long the relationship exists? Who knows when and where this life goes?
C 3 ennaDunu chETu lEnee JeevuDu venaka enni tanuvulu mOva Dee JeevuDu ennagala tiru venkatESu mAyala tagili enni padavula pondaDee JeevuDu || Soul is never ruined. Does not this life move to different bodies? Does he not occupy a number of leadership positions? Is it not just the delusion caused by lord Venkatesa?

P enta Vibhavamu kalige nantayunu nApadani chintinchinadi gadA cheDani jeevanamu|| If excess wealth is considered as dangerous, life will not be spoilt.
C 1 Chalamu kOpambu tanu champETi pagaTulani telisinadi idigadA telivi talakonna paraninda tanaPAli mrutyuvani tolaginadi yadi gadA tudaganna phalamu || Knowing that agitation and anger are destructive enemies, is real wisdom. Blaming others is injurous to one’s own self.
C 2 merayu vishayamulE tana meDa nunna vurulugA eriginadi Yadi gadA eruka parivOni YAsa tanu baTTukonu bhootamani verachinadi Yadi gadA vijnAna mahima || Knowing that glossy things in life are a noose around one’s neck, is real knowledge. Fearing the devil-like greed is real intelligence.
C 3 enalEni tiru VEnkaTESuDE daivamani vinagaliginadi gadA viniki anayambu natani sEVAnanda paru lai managaliginadi gadA manujulaku maniki || Accepting that Sri Venkatesa is the Supreme God, is the real knowledge. Pleasure of perpetual service to Venkatesa is permanent.

P eetaDu vO rAmuDu EkAnga veeruDu Etala joochinA tAne iravu konna vADu || Here is the unparalleled hero Rama. What ever way you perceive, he is exemplary.
C 1 chiruta prAyamu nADu Sivuni villu virichi merasi seetanu pendlADi minchina vADu tari padunAlagu vEla dAnavula nimishAna jarasi tAnokkaDE chadipina vADu || Even at young age he lifted the mighty bow of Siva and married Sita. He alone destroyed fourteen thousand demons in a minute.

C 3 rAvaNa kumbha karNAdi rAkAsula parimArchi eevala ayodhyapatna mElina vADu Sree VenkatAdri chEri moolyavantamuna vEvElu chandamulanu velasina vADu || He destroyed Ravana, Kumbha Karna and other rakshasas. He ruled Ayodhya in all grandeur. He reached Venkatadri in Malayavanta mountains and settled there gloriously.

As a boy, he pulled down two huge trees like a strong wrestler.
C 3 tiru vEnkaTESwaruDu dEva dEvottamuDu pari poorNu Dachyutu DabhavuDu SarNAgatula raksha sEyu vADanu mATa gurutugA talapOsi koniyADagA valase || Lord Venkateswara is the best of all gods. He is perfect and is beyond birth and death. He is praised as the protector of devotees.
