bhAvimpa nunnADindari bhAgyamu valenu ||
O men, let us all worship the lord . He is the fortune of all.

elami kappura kApu ide chAtukunna vADu
vela lEni yaTTi pedda venDi konDa valenu ||
He is the glorious lord. He is shinig like lily flower after his bath. He is fragrant with camphor smeared on his body. He is like precious silver hill.
C 2 andamuga taTTu punugu aladuka nunnavADu
kanduva indra neelAla gani valenu
mundaTi valene tA sommulu ninchu kunna vADu
pondina sampadalaku puTTinillu valenu ||
He is beautiful. He has the fragrance of 'punugu'(civet)perfume. His abode is like sappire mine. He is shining with many ornaments. He is the fountain-head of all wealth.
C 3 minchi alamElmanga meDa gaTTu konnavADu
manchi bangAru tAmara puvvu valenu
enchaga Sree venkaTESuDidE koluvai vunnavADu
ninchina dAsula pAli nidhAnamu valenu ||
He wedded beautiful Alamelumanga who shines like golden lotus. Sri Venkateswara is sitting with his consorts. He is the most valuable treasure for his devotees.

kalige mAkunidi - basant bahar

P kalige mAku nidi kaivalyam
kalakAlamu hari kathA SravaNam ||
Listening to the stories of Hari at all times bestows us salvation.
C 1 achintya madbhuta mAnandam
prachuram divyam pAvanam
sucharitam Sruti SObhitam
achalam bidivO hari keertanam ||
Singing Hari's praise bestows wonderful bliss. It is divine and the most popular way. It is glorified by the Vedas and is well known. Chanting the name of Hari is everlasting.
C 2 niratam nityam nikhila Subhakaram
duritam hara bhava dooram
parama mangaLam bhAvAteetam
kari varadam nija kainkaryam ||
Chanting always Hari's name is very auspicious. It eradicates sin and distances one from worldly problems. It is very auspicious and its greatness is unimaginable. It bestowed salvation to the elephant king. Chanting Hari's name is the best service to him.
C 3 sulabham sukaram SOkanASanam
phaladam lalitam bhaya haraNam
kalitam Sri venkaTapati SaraNam
jalajOdara nichcha stOtram ||
Chanting Hari's name is simple and easy. It destroys grief and is fruitful. It is beautiful and drives off fear. Surrendering to Venkatachalapati and regular. incantation of his praise is our valuable possession.

Venkatesa is always available to the devotees like gold tied at the corner of one's saree. He is the Almighty and the Supreme Conscience.

He rose like tide on the ocean-like Raghu dynasty. He is the fruit of great Vedic sacrifices. He is the Supreme Conscience in the form of man. He is the greatest treasure of Raghu lineage.

paragina divijula bhaya haramu
maragina seeta mangaLa sutramu
dhara lO rAmAvatArambitaDu ||
He is the taste in porridge. He eradicated the fears of Devatas. He tied the sacred wedding thread to Sita. He is the incarnation of Rama on the earth.
C 3 chakita dAnavula samhAra chakramu
sakala vanacharula jayakaramu
vikasitamagu Sree vEnkaTanilayamu
prakaTita daSaradha bhAgyambitaDu ||
His discus annhilates demons. He made monkeys victorious. Sri Venkatesa's abode is glorious. He is the fortune of king Dasaradha.

Clever Krishna is a known thief. (koogoogu is rhythmic word in folk songs) He hides from the searching looks of all.

He stole the robes of bathing maids and sat on a tree by the side of pool. He enjoyed milk in the pots hung on sling. It is impossible to control this boy.

When milk maids were selling milk their upper garments slipped. He is the thief that plundred milk from milk maids in many houses.
