Life is apparently pleasant like camphor which is cool outside but not internally. The world glitters temporarily like gold-plating where as the devotees of Sri Venkatesa are blessed with eternal happiness.

sAmAnyamA poorva- dhanyAsi

In this interesting Padam Annamaiah makes fun of his deity Venkatapati stating that even Sri Maha Vishnu can't escape the consequences of Karma.

P sAmAnyamA poorva sangrahambagu phalamu

Is it possible to escape the consequences of past Karmas. Even the Supreme Lord is bound by Karma.

O Lord Venkatesa, you entangled all living beings in worldly bondage. As consequence of that sin, someone dared to tie a woman(Sridevi) on your chest not caring that you are God.

You are making people sink and rise in the worldly ocean for no great reason. You are reaping the consequence of it. Long ago someone made you sleep on ocean without considering that you are the primordial God.

O Lord, you are not allowing us to be peaceful at one place .You force us to move on hills and dales for livlihood. So you are forced to stay at Tirumala hills by the side of Pushkarini tank permanently.

kaDaluDipi - Suddha vasantam

In this Padam Annamaiah eulogises that spiritual life is not possible so long as fascination for worldly desires remains.

P kaDaluDipi neerADaga dalachu vAralaku

How foolish it is to think of bathing in sea after the waves subside? Where is the end for for mind's craving?

Some want to know the spiritual truths only after their thirst for physical desires is satiated. How can one become spiritual unless he is free from woridly cravings? As long as there is attachment to body desires grow. How can then one enjoys real bliss?
C 2 mundarerigina venaka modalu maracheda nanna

One may say that after realising the nature of divinity, he would forget his attachment to physical pleasures. Can one who is accostomed to worldly pleasures give up them? Only the one who realises the beauty of Sri Venkatesa's compassion is truly fortunate. Nothing is better even in a dream.

siri dolankeDi-mukhAri
