sommu gala vADU -lalita

In this Padam Annamaiah prays to Venkatesa to treat him like his property and to protect him like mother that ignores pain caused by her child in womb.

P sommu gala vADu tana sommu cheDa nichchunA
kammi nee sommunu nEnu kApADavE hari ||
Does anyone allow the destruction of his property? O Hari,I am your property. please protect it.

The owner of cattle brings back his missing animal which lost its way in a forest by searching in all directions. My mind gets entangled in too many desires. Oh my master Govinda, please guide me to the right path.

A farmer protects his produce carefully in a barn. O God,you are my creator. Please protect me instead of leaving me at your threshhold.

beDagu lenchaka kani pencheenaTA
eDameeka Sree vEnkaTESa nee kukshi lO nEnu
taDavi tappu sEsina daya gAvavE ||
A pregnant mother does not find fault with her child in womb even it hits inside. She bears it with all love. Oh Venkatesa, I am in your cosmic stomach. Kindly pardon my mistakes and protect.

ataDu lakshmee kAntuDu - gunDakriya

In this Padam Annamaiah extoles the supremacy of Lord Venkateswara the primordial God. He adds that he alone is the bestower though other Gods are worshipped.

P ataDu lakshmee kAntuDanniyu nosagugAka
itaramula vEDukonTE nEmigaladu? ||
Venkatesa the lord of Lakshmi bestows every thing. What do you gain by begging other deities?

pAdukoni konakekki phalinchugAka
Adimoolamagu hari nAtuma sEvinchaka
Edaivamula ganna nEmi selavu ||
Water poured at the trunk of a tree reaches its top to yield fruits. What is the use of serving other deities if one does not worship the primordial Lord Hari at heart.

kellagAga bariNAmamichchu gAka
ullamu lOpali hari kosagani poojalella
vellin jintapanTi vale vrudhA vrudhA ||
Whatever a mother eats reaches her child in womb. Worship the lord in your heart. All other prayers go waste like tamarind dropped in floods.
C 3 Olinenta jAri paDDa noorakE evvarikaina
nEle AdhAramai niluchugAka
tAlimi SreevEnkaTESu dalachaka talachinA
pAlincha nAtaDE gAka parulaku vaSamA? ||
A person falling from any height must ultimately reach ground only. Though other deities are worshipped, Venkateswara alone is capable of protecting.
