P ee mATa vini ninnu indukE navvitini
nEmamenta nEnenta nee karuNa enta ||
Oh Venkatesa, I am amused to hear your strange deeds. Your compassion is limitless.
C 1 sakala karmamu chEta sAdhyamu kAni neevu
oka inchukanta bhakti kogi lOnaitivi
prakaTinchi bahu vEda paThana jikkani neevu
mokarivai tirumantramunaku jikkitivi ||
You are readily pleased by devotion which is not possible by any number of Karmas. You are not accessible even by scholarly chanting of Vedas but you are easily pleased with sacred "Tiru Mantram".
C 2 kOTi dAnamula chEta kOri lOnugAni neevu
pAtinchi SaraNanTEnE paTTi lOnaitivi
mETi ugra tApamula mechchi kaikonani neevu
gATavu dAsu laitEnE gaikoni manninchitivi ||
Crores of charities may not please you but you are available to those who surrender to you. You may not be pleased with severe penance but you are pleased with the services of devotees.
C 3 pekku teerdhamu lADinabhEdincharAni neevu
chokki nee mudra vAriki sulabhuDavu
gakkana dEvatalaku kAnarAni neevu mAku
nikkaDa Sri vEnkaTAdri niravaitivi ||
You may not be pleased with our pilgrimages but you are easily available to those who have "Vaishna Mudras". Even Devatas find it difficult to approach you but we are fortunate to have your "Darsanam" on holy Venkatadri.
