One may belong to a high caste or low caste ,if he adheres to truth ,he alone is great.

An illiterate low caste person may not have regular habits but if he worships the sacred feet of Lord Vishnu, he is greater than a Somayaji well versed in Vedas but has no devotion to Hari.

saravi mAlina antyajAti kulajuDaina
sarasi vishnuni vedaku nAtaDE ghanuDu ||
A low caste person devoid of regular habits seeking for the grace of Lord Hari is greater than a monk adept in Upanishads but has no devotion to Sri Hari.

manubhavinchina yAtaDappuDE ghanuDu ||
An ordinary person who enjoys holy 'prasad' of Lord Venkateswara with devotion is greater than an ascetic who tortures his body in penance but is not a humble servant of Lord Venkatesa the consort of Sri Lakshmi.
