P idiyE vEdAntamindukanTe lEdu
idiye Sri vEnkaTESuni matamu ||
This is the essence of Vedas. Nothing is greater than Sri Venkatesa's religion.
C 1 viratiyE lAbhamu viratiyE saukhyamu
viratiyE pO vijNAnamu
viratichE ghanulairi venaka vArella
virati pondakunna veeDadu bhavamu ||
Detachment is beneficial. It bestows happiness. It is indeed great learning. Our ancestors became great by detachment only. Otherwise you can't escape from worldly afflictions.
C 2 chittamE pApamu chittamE puNyamu
chittamE mOksha siddhiyunu
chittamuvalene Sri hari niluchunu
chitta SAntilEka chEradu paramu ||
Mind is responsible either for sin or for pious deeds. Mind alone strives for salvation. Sri Hari remains in a steady mind only. Wavering mind can not achieve emancipation.
C 3 enta chadivinA enta vedikinA
intakanTe mariika lEdu
intaTa Sri vEnkaTESu dAsulauTa
enta vArikaina idiyE teruvu ||
Any amount of research and learning can not find anything better. However great a person is, the best path is surrendering to Lord Venkatesa.
