P nandeeSam vandE sadA || I bow to Lord Nandikesava.

He gives happiness to devotees. He is ardent devotee of Lord Siva. He is treasure-house of Samaveda Music.

He pleased Lord Siva by playing drum in ecstasy at the time of Siva's ecstatic "Tandava Dance". Murali's music thrills him. He bestows boons. Rishabhapriya Raga with all seven notes is dear to him. He always holds a cane . Nandi has beautiful white body. He is very pious.
