P veeNA pustaka dhAriNee mASrayE
vEgavAhineem vaNee mASrayE ||
I pray for the grace of Goddess Sarasvati who holds the book of Vedas and Veena. She expeditiously elevates the heights of knowledge.

EkAgrachitta nidhyAtAm vidhikAntAm ||
She adorns a diadem on her crown. We should worship her with concentration of mind. She is Brahma's consort.

paurNamee chandrikAdhavaLa sankASam
karAravindAm kaLyANadAm bhAshAm
kanaka champaka dAma bhoosha viSEshAm
nirantaram bhakta jihvAgra vAsAm
nikhila prapancha sankOcha vikAsam
narAdhamAnana vilOka SOkApahAm
narahari hara guru guha poojita vigrahAm ||
She is personification of supreme knowledge and expressions through sound. She shines like the fullmoon. Her hands are delicate like lotus. She bestows auspiciousness and skills in language. She is adorned with golden yellow garland of champaka flowers. She always remains on devotees' tongue tips. She is the cause of enhancing or decreasing knowledge. She assuages anguish caused by observing the acts of wicked people. Humans, Vishnu, Siva and Guha adore her form.
