vAmAnka - aThANa - khanDa Eka

P vAmAnka sthitAya vallabhayAslishTam
vAraNa vadanam dEvam vandEham ||
Lord Vinayaka is seated on the left lap of Mother Parvati. She embraced her dear child. I bow to the elephant faced God Vinayaka.
A.P. vAmana swarupam varadam sachApam
chAmara karNam SaSi SEkhara tanayam
nAma roopa dharam abhinava guru guha hrudayam ||
He is in dwarf form. He is bestower of boons. He wields a bow. His ears are large. He is Lord Siva's son. He is famous by his name and appearence. He remains in Guru Guha's heart.
C ashTAnga yOgavara haThAna vAdi jaya va
sishTAdi tapOdhana sEvita gaNanAdham
srushTyAdi kAraNam Srita pAvanam rEtu
dushTAnta varjitam dEvatA pujitam
dushTa vighna haraNam SishTa bhaktaAbharaNam
ishTa phalada charaNam SishTa hrud viharaNam ||
Vasishta and other sages who mastered "Ashtanga Yoga" and conquered ego worship Ganesa the lord of all "Ganas". He is cause of creation and the protector of pious people. He is destroyer of evil. He is worshipped by Devatas. He eradicates obstacles. He is precious jewel for righteous people. His sacred feet bestow desired fruits. He always remains in the hearts of pious people.
