Mother Meenakshi is symbolised by sacred syllables called "Matrikas". She makes Maha Vishnu the father of Manmadha and her son Guru Guha happy. She protects Kadamba forest. She is promoter of fine arts and literature. She is adept in the art of love. She bestows boons well.
