dEva dEvam kvEti - madhyamAvati - aTa

SlOkam :
pANAvAdhAya pANim vrajapura vanitA kApi kasyAh pragalbhA
grAhyAm gruhaNamtara bahirapi vitatam svAnubhooti prasiddham
siddham vEdAgra bhAgE tadanuguNAnayaih brahmavit suprasiddham
nrutyantee gAyanteeti prakruti parataram mAnatO darSayantee ||
Meaning :
One Gopika holding the hand of another Gopika danced and sang about transcendental Krishna, saying that he is embodiment of pure knowledge, that he appeared as Brahma, Vishnu and Rudra gloriously and that he could be perceived by individual experience only.

P dEvadEvam kvEti tam mrugayAma vayamiha || Is it possible for us to search for the all pervading Lord in this forest?.
C 1 druSya vastushu druktayA satatam sati pratibhAti
pratyagAtmatayApi buddhishu nityamEva punAti vayamiha ||
Whatever we see and whatever we listen to we find his luminous presence only. He enters our conscience because of his transcendental nature.
C 2 prANabuddhi layOdayAdapi bhAsaya tyamalEna
svaprakASa sukhAtmanOdaya hAni dheera hitEna vayamiha ||
He is unblemished and radiant. He is eternal. He is beyond any physical state. Supreme soul will not be extinct even on the extinction of physical body.
C 3 yEna viSvapadAbhidAna ihaikatA manuyAti
tatra sarva sukhaikarasE parAtma nibhAti vayamiha ||
Objects of universe which have individual status ultimately merge with Supreme Soul.
C4 chintayatE yadachintya roopatayaiva yOgivarENa
santatam hrudayAntaram sakhibhAti dheera varENa vayamiha ||
Oh friend, no one is capable of comprehending his real form. When he is dwelling in every heart where else can we search?.
C5,C6 nandyAtyakhilam janam nija nitya bOdha sukhEna
chandasA makhilAgra bhAgavini schitEna samEna vayamiha ||
paurajAnapadAnugO ramatE nrupOhi yadhaiva
prANabudhyAnuga stanau vikrutim vibhAti ninaiva vayamiha ||
Scriptures applaud his glory. True devotees only can experince his resplendence.
Just as a ruler has good connection with his subjects , the supreme Lord connects with life,conscience in each one.
C7,C8,C9 rAjavatphalamAtra bhOgitayA tanau suvibhAti
bAlavadvigatAnurAga tayApi yOna bhibhEti vayamiha ||
gOpaneeyatayApi gOpa vadhoobhi rAbhi ramAni
Sri murAntaka bhAva bhAvanayA sayEva bhavAni vayamiha ||
vEdabhAga vichAra jAtamatipriya praNayEna
varNitam SivarAma teerdha padAmbuja bhramarENa vayamiha ||
Just as a king enjoys fruits of efforts of his subjects he shines in all. He has no ill-feelings towards anyone like a fearless child.
Supreme Lord is within us without our knowledge. If we can overcome differences from the nature of Krishna, we can become one with him.
Narayana Teerdha described this due to intense love and devotion for studying Vedas by hovering like a bee at the lotus feet of Guru Siva Rama Teerdha.
