avadhAraya mAmeeSwaram - sAvEri - Adi -

iti nigadati tasmin yAdavEndrE sa bhAryE
bhava bhaya timirAri rdEvakee bhAgadhEyam
sakala nigama guhyam darSayam sweeya bhAvam
parama karuNAya tou sAntvaya nnEtadaha ||

Vasudeva requested Sriman Narayana who was born as child Krishna, to enlighten him of his mission. Sri Krishna who dispels worldly fears revealed compassionately to Vasudeva about his supreme nature.He added that he could be comprehended by the Vedas and scriptures.

P avadhAraya mAmeeSwaram dEvAdi dEvam || Know me as the Lord of the universe. Know me as the primordial God.
AP tava tAta tapasA santOshtOham
tAvaka tanayAtmanAvanou samavateerNAkhila sAram ||
Oh father, I descended on the earth as your son due to your penance and piety. Know that I am the quintessence of creation. My incarnation is absolute and full.
C 1 Agamam taika mAnaka mananya bhAvam
agaNita lOka nAyakam
vigaLita mOhamEkam vimala yOgi tArakam
gaganAkAraka mEkam gatAgata nivArakam ||
I can only be comprehended by the Vedas and Upanishads. There is nothing in the universe that is not in my perview. I am the lord of inumerable 'lokas'. I am the emancipator of pious Yogis. I am omni-present like space within and outside matter. I am above birth or death.

adha gOkulE naya manavadya nandAlayam
vidhinAkruta nilayam vividha yOgi sugEyam ||
Nanda's house is very holy. Yogis praise it. Place me in his house and bring the female child born there as incarnation of Yogamaya to this prison in Madhura.

A male child called Balarama is born to Rohini in Nanda's house. He is humble and known for love and beauty. He is auspicious. He is destroyer of world's afflictions.
The world is tormented by inumerable demons. Know that I am the annihilator of the wicked. Narayana Teerdha writes this song narrating the Supreme Lord's precious words.

Early in the morning the villagers of Nandi village came to Nanda's house to greet Nanda and Yasoda on the birth of Sri Krishna the divine child.
Observing the effulgence of the divine child, Gopikas expressed their joy that Sriman Narayana himself has descended on the earth.

Oh my friend, look at the most auspicious signs of lotus and goad on his palms and feet. The sacred lines reveal that he is divine lord that descended to eradicate afflictions of humanity.

viSvaSya mEvachanam AyE sakhi viSvaSya mEvachanam
bhruSamiva bhoomou diSidiSi saphalAni
bhavya sugandhi kusumai rati nibiDAni jayantE ||
Look at the beautiful trees, juicy fruits and fragrant flowers all around in abundance.Please believe that he is divine child.

When the divine child Krishna with lotus-like eyes arrived, the world is filled with unparalleled joy. He is ever auspicious. He is the embodiment of truth, knowledge and bliss. Naraya Teerdha sings the glory of Supreme Soul Sri Krishna in this song.

Mother Yasoda is delighted to watch child Krishna's play. She describes Krisna in this song.

Sri Krishna is happily playing with cowherd boys. He enjoys milk, curd and butter with his play-mates, going from street to street in Gokulam. He is embodiment of Supreme knowledge. Yasoda cajoles Krishna to come home. She observes super natural radiance in him.

Your play time is over. The sun is hot in the after-noon. It is time to take bath. You are sweating because of too much play. Enough of your play.

Your feet are softer than tender leaves. You smell like jasmine flowers. Your eyes are large like lotus petals. Your cheeks are glossy. You are precious jewel for Gopikas.
You are adorned with precious pearl garlands. While playing, your ear-hangings are dangling beautifully. Your navel is like lotus. You are fond of butter. Narayana Teerdha is fortunate to have your blessings.

hari meeDE - SankarAbharaNam - tripuTa

One day child Krishna put some soil in his mouth while playing. His play-mates reported it to Mother Yasoda. She brandished a cane to scold Krishna. He pretended fear and opened his mouth. Yasoda was very much bewildered to observe all 'lokas' in his mouth. In her trance she realised that Krishna is Sriman Narayana himself.

kukshou samrakshitASEsha muchchaihi stouteeti sAdaram ||

Sri Krishna the creator of all lokas, kept them in his stomach. He moved in Gokulam as a cowherd boy by his divine resolve. Yasoda was elated with joy and sang his glory.

Sriman Narayana is the lord of Cosmos. He is creator of 'lokas'. I praise the lord who revealed his cosmic appearence. He is capable of accomplishing the most impossible tasks. I chant his praise.

vardhitAkhila vEda vAcha mASA Sruti manilAsu makhila dEham ||
viSvahrudaya dESa vipula mahee charaNa SASvatA nanda ghanam
niSvAsitAgama nirmala vijnAna nitya kaLyANa nidAnam ||
His head is heaven. The Sun and the moon are his eyes. He dispels all delusion. His words are Vedas. His ears are infinite sky. Air is his life. Cosmos is his body.
The earth is his feet. The universe is his heart. He is source of eternal happiness. Vedas are his breath. His knowledge is pure. He is ever auspicious.
C4,C5 bhaktajana samooha bhadram bhava bhaya muktamamara mrudu geetam
mukta sanga munindra muktidAna nipuNa moola mAgama bOdhitam ||
taraNi SaSimanDala kOTi kOTi bhAsvara maravinda bhava kAraNam
hari bhakta SivanArAyaNa teerdha kruta mida makhila pAtaka haraNam ||
He is bestower of security. He is free from worldly fears. The celestials sing his glory. He is adept in bestowing emancipation to pious sages. He is comprehended by Vedas. I bow to Sri Hari.
His effulgence is million times the radiance of the sun, the moon and all planets. He is progenitor of Brahma the creator. Siva Narayana Teerdha, an ardent devotee of Sri Hari sings this song which eradicates every sin.
