drushTvAdhara madhurAm rAmam nagareem sura nagareem
Aha chEdam mahOtsAhO mAdhavam madhuram vachaha ||
Meaning:
After nearing Madhura , Sri Krishna told Balarama that the city is like celestial capital Amaravati.

P rAma madhurA nagaree ramya hEma gOpura prAkAra kalitA || Oh Balarama, Madhura is encircled by golden gateways and beautiful towers.
A.P. rAma ramaNeeya kAbhirAma ratna kOTeera sambhArA || You are handsome and your crown studded with gems is beautiful.
