iti vadatihi - kAmbhOji - Adi

Slokam:
madhuripum madhurApuri nAyakam
samadhigamyasachOddhava nAmakaha
rahasi gOpavadhoo pari bhAshitam
madhura mAha manObhava rooshitam ||
Meaning:
At Madhura Uddhava met Sri Krishna privately and narrated the intense feeligs of separation of Gopikas.

P itivadatihi gOpee gOpAla krushNa iti vadatihi || Oh Krishna , Gopikas implored in this way.
A.P. natayOnutayah smrutayah pratipada masmAbhi stvayi vihitah|| We humbly salute you and extol your glory . We have been thinking of you and dedicating all our activities to you only
C 1 madhuram madhurA nagaree nAree madhuram gAyati madhusoodana tE
adhunA mAdhava tava kiyadasmat krutibhi rnutibhi smrutibhihi ||
Oh Madhusudana, beautiful women of Madhura might be singing your glory. You may not be bothered about our feelings or chantings in your praise. When your heart is there only, why should we go on singing about you.
C 2 nanda mukundam paramAnandam
mandasmEra sudhA vadanEndum
brundAvana bhuvi santam vandE
smAram smAram vAram vAram ||
Oh Krishna the embodiment of Supreme bliss, Oh son of Nanda, we always keep your smiling face and your activities here on the land of Brundavana. We salute you again and again.
C 3 SrityA smrutayAha kadhanti tvAm sudhiyaha svAntahkaraNE santam
tadapi manOmE nandakiSOram smarati
yuvatee kariNee kalabham ||
Oh son of Nanda, Vedas and sages have been proclaiming that you dwell in the hearts of pious devotees always. But we are not able to be so detached.It is like Young male elephant among a herd of female elephants.
C 4 maNinAyaka maNirapi para madhunA
guNa yOgE sati kAcha maNeenAm
marakata manirapi madhyE ghaTitO
gaNaneeyaha kimnahi kAchEshu ||
Even ordinary gems threaded with precious emerald get importance in a necklace.
C 5 iti gOpeejana kadhitam pradhitam
nija jana kadhitam viditam hariNA
yati nArAyaNa teerdha gradhitam
guruvara karuNAbharitam geetam ||
Thus loving message of Gopikas was conveyed to Krishna by Uddhava. Inspired by the grace of great Guru has been authored by ascetic Narayana Teerdha.
