P nandasuta tava jananamindu kulE jagadeeSa
nandayati jagadakhilam indirA dharESa
Oh Krishna the son of Vasudeva, you were born in Chandra dynasty. Oh Jagadeesa, whole world sings your glory. Indira is your consort.

nanda roopa paramahamsa nata mahAnubhAva ||
You are personification of supreme bliss. Devatas and sages adore you. Your complexion is like dark cloud.
C 1 mahitAshTamee rOhiNeesahita divasa niseethE
vihita nidrE khala kamsa prahita bhaTayuthE ||
You took incarnation on auspicious Ashtami (8th) day of Sravana month coinciding with Rohini star.Then wicked Kamsa and his attendants were sleeping.
C 2 vimala Seetala salilAsu vilasanteeshu taTeeneeshu
kumuda mOdavati vAyayau bhramati digantEshu ||
During that night river Yamuna was in floods with swirling waves. The atmosphere is permeated with fragrant breeze of blue lotuses .
C3,C4 dEva nikarE viyati divya soonamabhi varshati
pAvana tApasa jAlE paramanu hrusayati ||
dEvakeesahita vasudEvE neeradhara SObha
kEvalam samstuvati mudA kESavAbjanAbha||
Celestials showered divine flowers from the sky. Venerated sages felt immense happiness heartily.
Devaki and Vasudeva were overwhelmed with joy to see the divine appearence of Lord Sriman Narayana. He is Kesava. He is Vishnu shining like dark cloud.
