bhAvayE SrigOpAlam bhava vinuta bhavya suguNAlavAlam ||
I meditate upon Sri Gopala the repository of virtues and the one adored by Siva.
AP dEvarAja mukha vibudha sEvya pada pankajam
diti tanuja ghana vipina dAvam dEvam ||
Indra and other wise ones worship his lotus feet. He is like terrific fire to the forest like demons.

vidita yaduvamSa pradeepam vAsudEva vESita yaSOdA sameepam pootana
vidaLana vidhuta sujana tapam gArga muni
vihita madhura nAmAlApam gOpikA
sadana kruta navaneeta lOpam mAtru nija
vadana darSita bhuvana rupam Sri krishNam
sadayam hruta dhanada suta SApam sukalApam
sangata vimalApam gOpam ||
He is the beacon light of Yadu clan. Vasudeva brought him to mother Yasoda. He killed wicked Putana and comforted good folks of Gokulam. Sage Garga gave him the sacred name Krishna. He stole butter in the houses of milk-maids. Bala Krishna showed divine vision of the universe to Yasoda by opening his mouth. Ever merciful Krishna redeemed the two sons of Kubera the god for wealth from a curse. He enjoyed the company of Gopikas near the river Yamuna.

He destroyed the treacherous demons who came in the form of bulls to harass cowherds. Brahma worships him for his amazing powers. He emancipated Kaliya serpent by the touch of his feet. He teased Gopikas by stealing their clothes. He lifted Govardhana hill by his dainty hand. Sri Krishna entyced Gopikas in the divine dance on the banks of Yamuna. He destroyed Vrisha and other demons.

Sri Krishna killed demon Kesi. Akrura brought him to Madhura where he killed Kamsa and made the subjects happy. He restored beautiful body to Sairandhri. Guru Sandeepa expounded Sastras to Krishna. He dispelled the ego of Uddhava. He contrived the end of valiant Jarasandha. He is always calm. Sri Krishna married Rukmini the daughter of king Bheeshma. He became the lord of eight brides at Dwaraka. He assuaged the pining Gopikas. He is the supreme preacher of Gita to Arjuna the son of Kunti. He bestowed lot of wealth to poor brahmin class mate Kuchela. He restored life to the dead child of his Guru. Baladeva is his brother. His hair is black like water-bearing cloud. He is Padmanabha the lord of all lokas and Srilakshmi.

Indra and other celestials worship you. You shine with your ornaments like hundred suns. Your pleasant smile humbles the beauty of jasmine buds.You shine well with pure pearl necklace. Your gait is majestic like the walk of king elephant. You are deligent in bestowing education to the devoted. You are transcendental goddess with great effulgence. Your body emanates perfume of Kasturi and fragrant flowers. Your character is impeccable.

chAru bAhu dhruta valayE
vikacha sArasAkshi tOshita bhoovalayE
mAra kArmuka sushamA chOra chilliyugE vANi
vArija bhava dayitE vara viNA

You dwell in the minds of Narada and other sages. You are the supreme monarch of the three worlds ruling from your throne. Your delicate hands are adorned with bangles. Your lotus-like face bestows happiness to the entire world. Your eyebrows are like the bow of Manmadha. You are Vani the beloved consort of Brahma the lotus borne. You engross in music played by you on Vina with your dainty fingers.

akaLanka guNa kalApE karuNArasa
hata vivaSa jana vilApE
sakalE padmanAbha pada sarasija sEvaka vara
Suka sanakAdi muneeSwara nutE
sOmakaLA sadruSaAmala phAlE ||
You are the embodiment of Vedas and Scriptures. You are the mother of the universe with your nectarine speech. You are unblemished repository of virtues. You shower mercy abundantly on suffering people. Suka, Sanaka and other renowned sages worship the lotus feet of Lord Padmanabha whose forehead resembles crescent moon.

bhOgeendra SAyinam-kuntala varALi-khanDa chApu

purusham SASvatam kalayE ||
O Lord Padmanabha,You recline on the king of serpents as couch. You are eternal. You bestow prosperity and wellness to Puru dynasty.

vArAbhi vandita padam padmanAbham ||
Brahma, Eshwara and other gods salute the sacred feet of Padmanabha the one with lotus-like navel.

hanga nAyaka sadArAdhitam
sura bhAsura sudarSana nandaka pramukha

He dwells in gem-studded grand palace on the white island in milky ocean. Narada and other sages ,Garuda the king of birds worship him in great reverence. Effulgent Sudarsana Chakra (discus) and mighty weapon Nandaka are at his noble service. Celestial Devatas adore his lotus-feet.

pura pAdapAdya sthitam padmanAbham ||
O Padmanabha, it is due to great 'Punyam' (piety) of the supreme ascetic and devotee Divakara, you descended on the earth. You appeared like a wonder child full of pranks. When a Yogi snatched away 'Salagrama' worshipped by him daily , you immediately restored it to him out of mercy and you established yourself near a huge tree in Anantapuram.

paripurNa karuNAmrutam padmanAbham
When an ascetic extolled you in great devotion, you appeared in your beautiful form. Ascetic Padmateerdha and others were around you and You redeemed them of their sins. Agastya, Mahendra, Trikuta and Malaya chalendra worship you.Lord Padmanabha enjoys the golden Vimana built by Martanda varma the great destroyer of the wicked.
Lord Padmanabha shines with the radiance of the rising Sun. He is adorned with gem-studded crown ,ear-rings,pearl necklaces and Koustubha gem. He looks great with yellow silk cloth around his waist.He has beautiful flower garlands on him. He is very pleased with the festival of one lakh auspicious lamps. I bow to Lord Padmanabha whose compassionate looks are tender than lotus petals.

I pay obeisance to Raghurama belonging to Raghu dynasty. He is embodiment of humility and noble virtues.
AP bhAvuka vitaraNa parApAnga leelA lasitam || He is effulgent. He bestows boons by his glances.
C 1 &C2 nATakuranji : bAla kAnDa
dinakarAnvaya tilakam divya gAdhi suta savana
vana rachita subAhu mukha vadhya mahalyA pAvanam
anaghameeSa chApa bhangam janakasuta prANESam
ghana kupita bhrugu rAma garva haramita sAkEtam ||
dhanyAsi :ayOdhyA kAnDa
vihitAbhishEka madha vipinagata mArya vAcha
sahita sitA soumitrim SAntatama Seelam
guNa nilaya gatam chitrakooTa gata bharata datta
mahita ratnamaya pAdukam madana sundarAngam ||
He belongs to Sun dynasty. He killed Subahu and other demons to protect the yaga of Visvamitra the son of Gadhi. He restored life to Ahalya the unblemished. He lifted the bow of Siva and won the hand of Sita. He subdued pride of Parasurama the son of Sage Bhrugu and reached Ayodhya.
He sacrificed his coronation on the request of his father and left for forest along with Sita and Laksmana. He is serene and virtuous.He visited Guha the boat-man. He gave away his gem-studded Padukas to Bharata at Chitrakuta. He is beautiful like Manmadha.

sucharita ghaTaja dattAnupamati vaishNavAstam
patagavara jaTAyu nutam panchavaTee vihita vAsam
atighOra SurpaNakhA vachanAgata kharAdi haram
mukhAri : kishkindha kAnDa
kanaka mruga rupa dhara khala mAricha haramiha su
jana vimata dAsAsya hoota janakajAnivESanam
anagham pampAteera sangatAnjanEya nabhOmaNi
tanuja sakhyakaram vAli tanu daLana meeSam ||
He killed demon Viradha in Dandakaranya. He obtained Vaishnavastra the divine weapon from Agastya. Great Jatayu bird worshpped him. He resided in Panchavati. He destroyed Khara and other demons instigated by Surpanakha.
He vanqished wicked Maricha who came in the disguise of golden deer. While searching for Sita who was kidnapped by Ravana, he came into contact with Anjaneya and Sugriva on the bank of Pampa river. He destroyed Vali.
C 5& C6 purvikaLyANi : sundarAkAnDa
vAnarOttamasahita vAyu sunu karArpita
bhAnu Sata bhAsvara bhavya ratnAnguleeyam
tEna punarAneetAnyuna chooDAmaNi darSanam
Srinidhim udadhi teerE Srita vibheeshaNa miLitam ||
madhyamAvati ; yuddhakAnDa
kalita vara sEtu bandham kala nisseema patitAsana
daLanamuru daSakanTha vidAram atidharam
jvalanapoota janakasuta sahitam yat sAkEtam
vilasita paTTAbhishEkam viSvapAlam padmanAbham
He gave gem-studded ring to Anjaneya to hand over it to Sita.Anjaneya brought 'Chudamani'from Sita for Rama. He is repository of all wealth. He met Vibhishana on the sea shore.
Rama constructed bridge over the sea gloriously. He vanquished all demons and the ten-headed Ravana. He went to Ayodhya with Sita who was sanctified by fire. After the Coronation Sri Rama ruled the world gloriously.
