raghunAyaka - hamsa dhwani - Adi

Tyagaraja in this keertana says that Rama removes all our sins and helps us cross the sea of difficulties.

P raghu nAyakA nee pAda yuga
rAjeevamula nE viDa jAla Sree ||
I cannot leave your lotus feet, Oh Raghu nayaka.
AP agha jAlamula brAla dOlina
nannAdarincha neevE gati kadA sree ||
You drive away my sins.
You are my only solace.
C bhava sAgaramu dATa lEkanE
balu gAsi oDi nee marugu chEritini
avani jAdipA Srita rakshakA
Ananda kara Sree tyAgarAja nuta ||
I cannot cross the sea of difficulties in this world,
so I seek your shelter.
Oh Sita's husband, Oh savior of people,
Oh bestower of happiness, you are worshipped by Tyagaraja.

rAma bhakti - suddha bangAla - Adi

In this krithi Tyagaraja considers devotion to Rama as enjoying the kingdom of Rama. He also says that Supreme bliss of His Presence is indescribable and could only be experienced.

P rAma bhakti sAmrAjaya mE mAnavula kabbenO manasA || Oh my heart. Who will enjoy the splendor of the kingdom of devotion to Rama.
AP A mAnavula sandarSana atyanta brahmAnandamE || Visiting such people is itself a Supreme Bliss.
C ee lAgani vivarimpa lEnu chAlA swAnubhava vEdyamE
leelA srushTa jagatraya manE kOlAhala tyAgarAja nutuDagu ||
I cannot describe, It can only be experienced.
All the three illusory worlds are Vishnu's creations.
He is worshipped by Tyagaraja.

rAma nannu - hari kAmbhOji - roopakam

In this Krithi Tyagaraja says that God is all pervading and so exists in the tiniest of creatures as well as in the mightiest devatas.

P rAma nannu brOvarAvEmakO lOkAbhi || Oh Rama, Protect me. Why don't you come. Oh favorite of the world.
AP cheemalO brahmalO siva kEsavAdulO
prEma meera melagu chunDe birudu vahinchina seetA ||
You have the reputation of your existence in the tiniest ant and as well as in great Gods like Siva, Vishnu and Brahma.
C meppula kai kanna tAvu nappupaDaka virraveegi
tappu panulu lEka yunTe tyAgarAja vinuta ||
I'll not be indebted to parents, I will not commit mistakes arrogantly, O Lord of Tyagaraja.

rArA mA yinTi dAka - asAvEri - Adi

In this keertana Tyagaraja entreats Rama to come to his home saying that he would forget all desires and problems as he gazes at Him.

P rArA mA inTi dAka raghu veera
sukumAra mrokkErA ||
Come to our home, Oh Raghuveera
I bow to you, my delicate Rama.
AP rArA daSaratha kumAra nannE lu
kOrA taLa lErA ||
Come Oh Son of Dasaratha, take care of me, I can't wait.
C kOrina korkelu konasAgaka yE
neeraja nayana nee dAri gani vE
sAriti gAna sAdhu janAvana
sAri veDali swami nEDaina ||
O Rama with lotus like eyes, if you leave even before my desires are fulfilled, I am at loss. Please come to me atleast today.
C prodduna lEchi puNyamu toTi
buddhulu cheppi brOtuvu gAni
muddu gAnu nee mOmunu joochuchu
vadda nilachi vAramu poojimchEnu ||
You can preach and bless me in the morning.
I will worship you looking at your lovely face.
C dikku neevanuchu telisi nannu brOva
grakkuna rAvu karuNanu neechE
chikki yunna della maraturA ika Sree
tyAgarAjuni bhagyamA ||
I know that you are my savior.
Why don't you come at once.
It will make me forget every thing else.
Oh Rama, the wealth of Tyagaraja.

rAma katha - madhyamAvati - Adi

In this kruti Tyagaraja extols the greatness in enjoying the story of Lord Rama which he says is equal to possessing a kingdom. He adds that, that ecstasy will enable us to cross the ocean of entanglements in this Kaliyugam.

P rAma kathA sudhA rasa pAna moka rAjyamu chEsu nE || The ecstasy in enjoying the nectar like story of Rama is itself a kingdom bestowed to us.
AP bhAmA maNi jAnaki soumitri
bharatAdula tO bhoomi velayu Sree ||
You graced the earth along with Janaki the gem of women, Lakshmana, Bharata and others.
C dharmA dyakhila phalada mE manasA
dhairyAnanda soukhya nikEtanamE
karma bandha jwala nAbdhi nAva mE
kali haramE tyAga rAja nutu Dagu ||
O my heart, Rama's story blesses us with the prime ideals and duties dictated by the Vedas, namely, Dharma (righteous action), Artha (wealth), Kama (desires) and Moksha (salvation).
It is the holy abode of great qualities like valour, bliss and happiness. It is like a beacon light to guide our ship to cross the ocean of accumulated entanglements caused by actions in the present and past births. It destroys the sins committed in this Kaliyuga. O Rama, Tyagaraja worships you.

rArA raghu veera - aThaNa - Adi

In this kruti Tyagaraja expresses immense happiness in the company of Rama's devotees and requests Rama to be in his company always.He assures that all the acts in his life are dedicated to Rama only.

P rA rA raghu veera venTa rAra tODu || Oh my generous Lord. hero of Raghu dynasty,come along with me to keep company. I am delighted to have you always in my mind
AP anu dinamuna ninu mansuna ganu goni Ananda mAye dayALO
sakala sujanulu kolachu sannidhi gani
challa nAye dayALO ||
I am delighted to have you always in my mind. Oh my generous Lord, worship by devotees creates a very pleasant ambience which soothes and comforts my heart.
C toDari aDugaDugu kidi buddhyani santOshamaye dayALO || Your preachings show me the right and wrongs at every instant. It makes me happy.
C sumukhamu nanu tilakamu chelaga gano sokka nAya dayALO
kanu goni bhavamuna boralaka needE karya mAye dayALO ||
I am delighted to gaze at your beautiful face with the mark of Tilakam, oh my Lord. Every act of my life is dedicated to you only. It prevents me from sinking in the mire of worldly problems.
C daSaratha tanaya Subha charita pAlita
tyAgarAja dayALO ||
