This is a kriti in Sanskrit in which Tyagaraja praises the exemplary qualties of Sri Rama.

P	mAmava satatam raghu nAdha ||	O Rama the lord of Raghu dynasty,please protect me always.
AP	SrimadAdi nAnvaya sAgara chandra Sritajana Subha phalada suguNa sAndra ||	You are the shining moon to ocean-like Sun dynasty.You bestow auspicious boons to devotees.You are the repository of virtues.
C	bhakti rahita SAstra vidatidoora pankaja daLa nayana nrupa kumAra Sakti tanaya hrudAlaya raghu veera Santa nirvikAra yukta vachana kanakAchala dheera uraga Sayana munijana parivAra tyakta kAma mOha mada vikAra tyAgarAja ripu jalada sameera||	You are incomprehensible even to great scholars devoid of devotion. Your eyes are beautiful like lotus petals.You are ideal prince. You dwell in the heart of Vasishta the son of goddess Sakti. You are the valiant hero of Raghu dynasty.You are serene.You are immutable.Your sayings are very appropriate.You valor is like the golden Meru mountain.The sages love to be with you. You are devoid of desires,fascination,pride and unsteady conduct.You are like gust of wind to ward off internal and external enemies of Tyagaraja.

In this Kruti Tyagaraja imagines in an ironic way that Rama was indifferent to him where as he was very compassionate to him earlier.

P	munupE teliyaka pOyenA muni nuta daya lEdAyenA ||	O Rama,you are worshipped by sages.Don't you know me before?Why are you pitiless now?
AP	anu visumanta lEdanuchunu nannalainchi vEDuka joochuTaku ||	Why are you amused to trouble me saying that it is not possible to comfort me now?
C	AnATi manchi naDatanu choochi neevatyanta krupa sEya lEdA eenADu nAmadi iTulounani neekinakula tilaka Sri tyAgarAja nuta ||	Did you not shower abundant grace hither to appreciating my good conduct?O Rama the gem of Raghu dynasty,why don't you observe my miserable plight today?Tyagaraja worships you.

This is an interesting Kruti where in Tyagaraja narrates how the divine trinity Brahma,Vishnu and Maheswara tried to test the superiority of Sri Rama.

AP	sammatiga rAju koDukanaga vini samSayamu deeraka Sri rAmuni ||	They heard that Sri Rama was just a prince.So they wanted to clear their lurking doubt about his superiority.
C	rOshamutO raghu rAmuni guNamula rooDhiga tama guNamula naTu vrAsi trAsuna niDa sari nilava lEdani tyAgarAjanutuDevaDO anuchunu||	Upset with their doubt,they tried to weigh the noble qualities of Sri Rama in a balance against their qualities.Realising that they were not equal to him,they all sang the praise of Sri Rama the lord of Tyagaraja.
