P nee chittamu nA bhAgyamayyA
nirupAdhika nee vADanayyA ||
Oh Srirama, your grace is my fortune. You are beyond cause and effect.
AP yOchinchi kAryamu lEdanuchu
oka sAri SaraNanukonTinayya ||
I found no point in contemplating. So, I surrendered to you once for all.
C paradaivamula juchinantanE bhAvamandu neevai baragedavayya
dhara lOna nA sarivAralalO daya juDavayya tyAgarAjanuta ||
Even when I look at other deities , I see you only in my mind. Oh lord worshipped by Tyagaraja, please let me not become inferior amidst my peers.

P neekevari bOdhana || Oh Srirama, whose teaching is this for you?
AP sAkEta rAma sanmunistOma || Oh Srirama, you dwell at Saketa. Many pious sages are worshipping you.
C kalakalamani nAtO balkakunnAvu
talapu vErainadi tyAgarAja nuta ||
You are not conversing with me heartily. I think that your mind is else where. Tyagaraja worships you.

P ninnE bhajana sEyu vADanu || Oh Lord Srirama, I sing your praise only.
AP pannagaSAyi parula vEDanu || Oh lord who reclines on divine serpent Adisesha, I can not beg others.
C snAnAdi japa tapa yOga dhyAna samAdhi sukhaprada
sitAnAdha sakala lOkapAlaka tyAgarAja sannuta ||
Oh Srirama the spouse of Sita, you are protector of all 'lokas'. You are bestower of happiness to those who worship you in different ways namely chanting, meditation, yoga, samadhi and penance in a discipilined way after bath etc. Tyagaraja worships you.

P nA moralanu vini EmaravalenA pAmarajanulalO Oh rAma || Oh Srirama, why are you not paying any heed to my lamentation?
AP tOmara nArAchamulai manasuku tOchenA bhakta pApa vimOchana || Oh Rama the liberator of devotees from their sins, is my lamentation like pain caused by arrow or spear for you?
C 1 ibha rAjEndruDu yekkuvaina lancha michchina dEmirA
sabhalO mAnamu bO samayambuna sati yEmichchenurA Oh rAma ||
Oh Rama, did Gajendra the king of elephants bribe you to rescue him? What did pious lady Droupadi give you when you rescued her while she was humiliated in royal court?
C 2 bhAgavatAgrEsara rasikAvana jAgarukuDavani pErE
rAga swarayuta prEma bhakta jana rakshaka tyAgarAja vandita ||
Oh Rama, you are known for protecting great devotees and lovers of arts. You are savior of devotees who sing your praise in melodious Ragas and Swaras. Tyagaraja bows to you.
