O Siva, you are adorned with crescent moon on your head. You shine with the effulgence of a million suns. Maha Vishnu the consort of Lakshmi adores you. Please bestow me the fortune of devotion to your lotus feet. You are the magnanimous succor to hapless. Your face beams with gentle smile. Tyagaraja worships you.

dAchukOvalenA-tODi-jampa

This Kruti tells about imaginary situations wherein Tyagaraja felt that Sita, Bharata and Lakshmana might have told Rama about his devotion. So he requests his deity Sri Rama not to hide his compassion for Tyagaraja.

P dAchukO valenA dASaradhi nee daya || O Rama, why are you hiding your quality of mercy.
AP choochu vArala lOna chulakanE nanu joochi || I am slighted in the presence of all because of your indifference.

When your consort Sita the daughter of King Janaka was with you, she might have pleaded on my behalf pitying me.

When Lakshmana was sincerely engaged in serving you, you praised him. Then he might have put in a word to you about Tyagaraja's plight.

darSanamu sEya-nArAyaNagowLa-khanDachApu

In this Kruti Tyagaraja deplores about the common frailings of temple-goers. He comments that some are more absorbed in external sights than absorbing themselves in the divine form of Lord Siva.

P darSanamu sEya nA taramA parAmarSinchi neevu nanu mannimpavalenu Siva || Am I capable of enjoying the spiritual bliss of "Siva Darsanam". O lord Siva, pardon me. You only should compassionately inquire about me and bless.

I was just watching at the grandeur of temple towers, engraved pillars and inscriptions on stones. I was also enjoying the beautiful dances by young maids. I was admiring the dazzling rows of lamps and divine decorated chariots. O lord Siva the dispeller of sins, I was absorbed in enjoying the external objects only.

I was circumambulating you for sixteen times but involved in slanderous talk. I was excited in gazing at the beauty of other's women but not mindful of chanting your two lettered sacred name Siva.

Unfortunately I was blind to enjoy your divine golden effulgence. Is it a child's play to visulise you, forgetting my self and installing your magnificient form constantly in my lotus-like heart?. Tyagaraja worships your sacred feet.

dari dApu lEka-sAvEri-dESAdi

In this Kruti Tyagaraja takes liberty as a rightful devotee and makes taunting remarks about Rama's delay in pitying him.

P daridApu lEka vEDitE daya rAdEmO SrirAma|| O Sri Rama, perhaps your mercy is beyond the reach of a poor devotee like me who is in desperate condition.
AP kari dhanamulu kaligitE karuNinchi brOtuvEmO || Perhaps you would pity and protect if I possess lot of money and elephants.
C 1 alanADu nirjara vairi bAluni chuchi brOchtivigAni
valachi padamulu nammitE varamee dOchunA tyAgarAju ||
Long ago you protected Prahlada the son of Hiranyakasipa the arch enemy of Devatas. But is it fair for you to hesitate bestowing boons to Tyagaraja who has absolute faith and love for your sacred feet.
