chinna nATa-kaLAnidhi-dESAdi

In this Kruti Tyagaraja tauntingly says that Rama took lot of service from him from his childhood onwards. He asks him why Rama was secretive of assuring protection to him.

P chinna nATa chEyi baTTitivE || O Rama, did you not hold my hand and led me in my childhood itself ?
AP enna rAni yuDigamu gaikoni
entO nannu pAlanamu chEtunani ||
You took lot of sevices from me promissing me that you would take care of me always.

Elukondamani enchinAvO teliya
dE guTTu brOvavE suguNa vArinidhi
Now I am at loss to know whether you wanted to abandon me or chose to protect me. O Rama the ocean of virtues, you are the supreme God worshipped by Tyagaraja.

kaDa tEra rAdA-tODi-dESAdi

In this Kruti Tyagaraja implores his mind which is prone to evil influences to transcend worldly bondage , by singing the praise of Srirama.

P kaDa tEra rAdA manasA || O mind, why don't you transcend mundane worldly attachments?
AP eDa lEka bhajana chEsi nee yeDa galgu dabbaralanu telasi
||
Realise the evils and defects within you by singing the praise of the lord incessantly.
C 1 khala chitta loukikamanE Srun
khalamandu dagalaka nE uloo
khala baddhuniki nija dAsuDai
vilasillu tyAgarAju mATa vini ||
Let not be your conscience be fettered by chains of worldly entanglements. Please listen to Tyagaraja the ardent devotee of lord Krishna who was bound to a mortar by his mother Yasoda with her love.(Both Krishna and Rama are Avatars of Vishnu)

Ela teliya lErO -darbAru-tripuTa

In this Kruti Tyagaraja extols the great deeds performed by Rama. He wonders why people are not able to recognise his super natural powers.

P Ela teliya lErO rAma ninnEla teliya lEro poorva karma mElAguna jEsirO || O Rama, how is it that people are not able to recognise your great powers? It may be because of their Karma in their past.
AP bAla SaSAnka kalAlankruta nuta
neela varNa suguNAlaya nee mahima ||
Siva who adorns crescent moon on his head adores you. You shine like blue sapphire. You are the abode of virtues. Your powers are incomprehensible.
C 1 bAla vayasuna Sooladharuni vi
SAla dhanuvunu leelagA bhoo
pAlakulu gana kEla virichi ku
SAluga Sree nElina ni || nnE ||
Even at young age, you lifted the most invincible Siva's Bow easily to the amazement of all the contending kings and won the heart of Sita.
C 2 nAlgu noka padivEla kanchu ra
dhAla sura ripu moola balamula
leelagA noka kOla nEsi
kAla yamapuri pAla jEsina ||
You destroyed the most formidable army of demon Ravana consisting fourteen hundred bronze chariots. You sent them to Yama's hell.

rAjasamuna puja chEyu
rAjulanu gaja rAjulaku
mrugarAja tyAgarAja nutuni ||
You are terror to the arrogant kings who passionately worshipped Siva to obtain powers. You are like a lion to the king of elephants. Tyagaraja worships you.

Emani pogaDudurA-veera vasanta- Adi

In this Kruti Tyagaraja extols the supremacy of Srirama's nature, stating that he is above the three fundamental Gunas.

P Emani pogaDudurA SrirAmuni || O Srirama, how well can I sing your praise?
AP SrimannabhOmaNi vamSa la
lAma bhuvana vAsi mA rAmuni ||
You are the diadem of the Sun Dynasty, descended on the earth.
C 1 Sivuniki tAmasa guNamichchi kamala
bhavuniki rAjasa guNamosagi Sachi
dhavuni garva hrudayuniga jEsina
dASaradhi tyAgarAja vinutuni ||
O Dasaradhi, you bestowed 'Tamasaguna' (destruction) to Siva, 'Rajasaguna' (Creation) to Brahma the lotus borne. You made Indra the spouse of Sachi Devi, a proud lord of Devas. O Rama, Tyagaraja worships you. How well can I sing your praise ?.
