P raminchu vArevarurA raghOttama ninu vinA || Oh Srirama the supreme among Raghu dynasty, who else is capable of bestowing supreme bliss?
AP SamAdi sadguNa gAna sakala bhuvana janulalO || Who else can delight people of all lokas, blessing them with the six philosophic attributes Sama,Dama etc.(internal and external control of sensory organs).
C "rum" yanE sumarmamu "rAma" yanE Sarmamu lasa
damara varula kabbenO tyAgarAja sannuta ||
Root "Rum" means delightful. It is profound truth. The word Rama means the bestower of supreme bliss. The word Rama and the spiritual nature of Rama are capable of conferring over-whelming bliss on fortunate Devatas, Yogis and others.

P manasu vishaya naTa viTulakosagitE
mA rAmuni krupa kalgunO manasA ||
Oh mind , if a person is attracted by sensual pleasures and crafty paramours, would they get Rama's grace?
AP tana talupu teesi peTTi okarinTiki
tA kukkalatOlu reetigAdO ||
Is it not like keeping one's own house-door open to go to somebody's house to drive away dogs?

tappila kOti kompOyinaTu gAdO
cheviTiki upadESinchi naTugAdO
Sri tyAgarAja nutuni talanchaka ||
Is it not like an unfaithful woman going to her lover's house for the sake of cattle bran, when in her own house a monkey stole away her vessel containing food?. Is it not like preaching in the ears of a deaf person? If you don't meditate upon Srirama the deity of Tyagaraja, does Rama bestow his grace?

P rAmachandra nee daya rAma Ela rAdayA || Oh Ramachandra, I am unable to understand why you are reluctant to shower grace?
AP kAmakOTi sundara karadhruta mandara
prEma meera mundara pilva rAkayundurA ||
Your charm equals the beauty of million Manmadhas. You held Mandara mountain. I've been inviting you with deep love. Why don't you appear before me?
C 1 kAnanambu tApamO kaikameeda kOpamO
nEnu chEyu pApamO neeku Sakti lOpamO ||
I think your troubles in forests or your anger on your step-mother Kaika stopped you. Perhaps my past sins or depletion of your powers is holding you.
C 2 ADadanna rOsamO alanADupAsamO
mEDalEni vAsamO mEmu sEyu dOsamO ||
It may be due to the taunting words of Sita when you hesitated to take her to forest with you. Or fasting in those days irritated you. It may be because you are deprived of comforts of palace.
Oh Rama, are there any serious lapses in my life?
C 3 kallalaina nEyamA mAkanTe neeku hEyamA
tallaDilla nyAyamA tyAgarAja gEyamA ||
You might have been vexed with my shallow association. Oh Srirama, is it fair for you to trouble me unendingly? Tyagaraja sings your glory.

toli mAnOmu phalameTuladO ||
Oh Rama, I am not sure about the fruits of my earlier prayers and rituals. Would you not rescue me?

namminAmanuchu chAla tirigEmu gAni nijamanuchu ||
Oh Srirama, you shine like cloud. My heart is filled with love for you. I am living by reposing faith in you only but I don't know what your disposition is.
C 1 bhava sAgaramuna kalugu bAdhalanTakayunDuTa
kavivEka mAnavula chelimi abbakunDuTaku
avaniyandu kalugu vEdAgama marmamu delasi
I've been leading my life according to the dictates of the Vedas and other scriptures so that the worldly afflictions do not sink me and so that foolish people do not get close to me.

kaddanuchu palikina peddala nammi
muddugAru nee roopamunu mOdamuna dhyAninchuchu nE
proddu pogaDinAmu gAni purNa Sasivadana Sri ||
I reposed my faith in my elders who preached me that true devotees are blessed with perpetual happiness in their devotion itself.
Oh Rama, you are beautiful like the fullmoon. I happily meditate upon your charming face. I praise your glory delightfully.

vAjikari dhanamulu varamugAdurA
jAji sumadhara bhooja manOhara Sri tyAga
rAjanuta bahuravi tEja nA tappulenchaka ||
Oh Rama, your eyes are beautiful like lotus petals. Worshipping you is my ultimate refuge. Horses, elephants and other sorts of wealth are of no consequence for me. Oh Rama who captivated the heart of Sita, you are adorned with fragrant jasmine flowers. You have the radiance of many Suns. Please ignore my shortcomings.
