vAna urumulaitE venaka tiyyadu ||

C 1 suDigAli ODajuTTi vaDigA vAnalaitE goTTi || Whirl wind is engulfing our boat fast. Rain is lashing our boat continuously.
C 2 ODalO randhramu galige ee vanitalakevvaru salige || The boat is leaking profusely due to a hole. Who protects these women now?
C 3 kanulakendu kAnarAdu gati kALindi manakika meedu || Dazzling light in the sky is hindering our visibility. Now Goddess Kalindi is our ultimate refuge.
C 4 matipoVu dAri janirammA apuDe
madaminta valadanTinammA ||
We foolishly ventured like this ignoring all warnings due to our arrogance and pride.
C5,C6 manamokkachO gooDarAdu praLayamana nidigA vEru lEdu ||
rAja vadanalu rArammA tyAgarAja sakhuni jooDarammA
We should not have assembled at one place to plan this trip. There is no deluge other than this.
